AI & Automation Audit
We look at how your business actually runs today (not how it's supposed to) and find where AI or automation can quietly take work off your plate.
AI & automation for small and medium businesses
Big companies have entire teams dedicated to figuring out AI and automation. You have a business to run. Tovellu closes that gap without handing you more software to babysit.
Enterprises have data teams, ops teams, and budget to match. Most small and medium businesses have neither the time nor the headcount to figure out what actually matters, so AI turns into one more thing on the pile or one more tool nobody quite trusts.
You're already running the business. Researching, testing, and wiring up AI tools is a full job on its own, one you didn't sign up for.
A spreadsheet here, a chatbot there, three apps that don't talk to each other. More software isn't the same as more capacity.
The businesses that treat AI and automation as leverage, not a side project, are quietly pulling ahead on cost, speed, and service.
What we do
We look at how your business actually runs today (not how it's supposed to) and find where AI or automation can quietly take work off your plate.
We connect the tools you already use and automate the repetitive stuff (scheduling, follow-ups, data entry, reporting) so your team spends time on work that matters.
We add AI where it earns its keep (customer support, content, research, internal knowledge) and implement it simply, not bolt it on as a gimmick.
Systems don't run themselves forever. We stick around to tune, troubleshoot, and teach your team, so you're never stuck depending on us.
How we work
Our job isn't to impress you with technology. It's to make your Tuesday afternoon easier than it was before we showed up.
Not the shiniest tool on the market. The thing that's genuinely slowing you down.
Every system we add should replace effort, not create a new dashboard to check.
No black boxes. If you can't explain how it works, we haven't finished the job.
We're mildly allergic to unnecessary dashboards.
Case in point: this site gets updated from a phone, mid-errand, by talking to an AI. We use the stuff we sell.
About Tovellu
Most of what gets written about AI and automation is aimed at enterprises with data teams and six-figure budgets. Small and medium businesses get told it's either irrelevant to them or something they'll "get to eventually." Neither is true, and eventually is getting more expensive every quarter.
Tovellu exists to close that gap: practical AI and automation, sized and scoped for businesses that don't have a spare team to throw at it. Clear language, no jargon theater, and a genuine allergy to complexity for complexity's sake.
"I'm Kristin, a solutions engineer with over a decade of experience implementing enterprise-grade messaging, automation, and AI systems large companies rely on to serve their customers at scale. I started Tovellu so small businesses could have that same firepower, sized and priced for them, not an enterprise."

Before Tovellu: the track record this is built on
In a previous role, I owned the manual QA process for Apple Messages for Business rollouts: role-playing both sides of a conversation on video for every required scenario, then editing it all before submission. I automated the whole thing. AI researches the client, identifies their top call drivers, drafts use cases, mocks up the conversations, and produces the edited video. What used to take a day and a half now takes about five minutes, and I've used it across several Apple Messages for Business clients since.
An outdoor products brand needed to track customer satisfaction scores in a different system from the one where they were generated. Instead of buying another platform, I used the Zapier subscription they already had, wiring up webhooks to catch each response and route it automatically. Problem solved with the tools they already owned and already paid for.
In my first job out of college, our recruiting team entered every candidate's information by hand from their resume, then tracked them through a patchwork of email and spreadsheets. I built a tool that let you highlight text on a resume and copy the data straight into our system. Resume parsing like this is common now. At the time, nothing like it existed for us, so I built it myself.
Good questions
Only if we've talked about it first. A lot of what we build just moves data between systems you already use, with no new tools and no AI added by default. When a project genuinely calls for AI (an LLM, a third-party API), we tell you exactly which one and what it will touch, and nothing runs against your data until you've signed off. If you'd rather keep AI out of a particular process entirely, that's a constraint we design around, not a debate.
Usually not. We'd rather wire up what you're already paying for than sell you something new. New tools are a last resort, not the first move.
Depends on what we find in the audit. Pricing gets scoped to your actual bottleneck, not quoted off a generic package. Book the 30-minute call and you'll leave with a real number, not a range designed to sound cheap.
Depends on the fix. Some automations ship in days; a fuller system takes a few weeks. You'll get a timeline specific to your setup after the audit, not a generic promise.
Tell us what's slowing you down. We'll help you figure out what's actually worth automating first, no pressure, no sales deck.
AI only touches your data with your sign-off, every time, no exceptions.
